About Tytherton House

BREMHILL EAST TYTHERTON ST 97 SE (south side) 8/40 Tytherton House II GV House, c1830-40, ashlar with low-pitched deep-eaved slate roof and two rear stacks. Two storeys, three-window formal front with raised plinth, band, eaves band and angle strips. Boarded eaves soffits. Sixteen-pane sashes, centre door in Roman Doric flat porch with two columns, pilaster responds and moulded cornice. Similar one-window north end wall, rubble stone south wall and rear. Rear has two-storey 3-window painted brick lean-to range. Interior: plain stair, moulded doorcases and window surrounds in Regency style. House was formerly known as South View.
