CORSHAM MOOR BARTON ST 86 NE 3/280 The Old Farmhouse II
House, C17, rubble stone with Bridgwater tile and concrete tile roofs, two storeys, ‘T’-plan. Main range has coped gable and stack at north end and one ridge stack. West front has 2 dormer gables, each with 2-light recessed cyma-moulded mullion window and hoodmould. Ground floor, from left, door with hoodmould, two 3- light recessed cyma-moulded windows with hoodmoulds, C20 door between, and, to right, 2-light recessed ovolo-moulded window with hoodmould stepped over casement, former door, adjoining. East front has one dormer gable with 3-light recessed cyma-moulded window and hoodmould, 2 doors and C20 porch in angle to cross range. Cross range has 3-bay barn to east with end wall lean-to and cross-wing to house running west, in 2 sections. Earlier part at south end of main range has ridge stack, roof altered in C19 and 2-storey south elevation, 3-light recessed ovolo-moulded and 2- light recessed cyma-moulded upper windows, C19 four-pane sashes and door below. Coping and stack at original west end. Extension to west has coped west gable and west end 3-light windows to both main floors, flush cyma-moulded with hoodmoulds, and to attic, recessed chamfered with dripstone. North side has C19 sash to each floor and blank 2-light flush cyma-moulded window with dripstone to left. Interior: main range has 6 similar deep chamfered centre beams with run-out stops. Cross-wing has heavy beamed 4-panel ceiling to room south of main range.
