Northview Hospital (north Block) is a grade two (II) listed building in Purton, Wiltshire, SN5. It was first listed in 1983.

The plaque on the front of the building commemorates the Cricklade and Wootton Bassett Union, which was established in 1837. The building was originally a workhouse, but is now a hospital. It is made of red brick with white joints, and has a hipped, low-pitched slate roof. The facade is formal, with a single set-back wing and a gabled roof. The central four bays have a broad pediment, and the windows are original sashes with glazing bars. There is a 6-panel door in the center, and the interior has been substantially modified.

Workhouse, now hospital. Commemorative plaque over central door reads ‘Cricklade and Wootton Bassett Union: 1837’. Fine red brick with white joints, hipped low-pitched slate roof, no stacks. Facade to street a formal composition in 2 storeys, with single set back wings with gable slated roofs. 3-4-3 bays with broad pediment to central four bays, plain stone string course, single brick eaves course, stone cornice and pediment course. All windows original sashes with glazing bars under fine rubbed brick flat arches, stooled stone sills; central wide 6-panel door up 2 stone steps, and heavy flat hood mould on simple brackets. Incised commemorative plaque above door, but pediment plain. Interior has been substantially modified, but there is some original brick vaulting to cross corridors. A good example of low- cost C19 public enterprise presenting a seemly facade to the village street.
