About Corton House
HILMARTON GOATACRE SU 07 NW 6/254 Corton House II Estate house, c1850, built for Poynder estate, squared rubble stone with slate eaves roof and rear stacks. Two storeys, three-window range of flush beaded 2-light mullion windows with hoodmoulds. Small paned casements originally, some replaced. Centre door in large squared rubble porch with slate roof, gable finial and Tudor arched entry with hoodmould. Similar 2-light window each floor to south end wall, not beaded, and similar window each floor to south front of rear wing. West end stack.
