Cemetery lodge. 1855; By Mr Peck of Cooper & Peck, No.1 Furnivall’s Inn, London. Faced in random irregularly shaped blocks of Kentish ragstone with ashlar quoins and dressings. Plaintiles and ornamental ridge-tiles. 3 external stacks have plain narrow rectangular white brick shafts. Gothic style. EXTERIOR: one-and-a-half storeys; irregular form, gabled to east and south. Each gable has pointed Gothic windows with cusped heads, 3-light to the ground storey, 2-light above. On the west side, a 3-light window with plain mullions in a steeply-roofed gablet and a 3-light ground storey window in Tudor style with shouldered heads to lights. Entrance door within a pointed arch. At the south-east angle a buttress with a steeply gabled top in C14 style. A single storey range in matching style along part of the east side. INTERIOR: not inspected.
