Terraced row of 3 town houses, now offices. c1820-5. By Anthony Buck; altered. Coursed squared sandstone, slate roof. Double-depth plan, each house single-fronted, with various back extensions and additions. 3 storeys over cellars, 3+3+3 windows, with sillbands to the upper floors, rusticated quoins to the right-hand corner and at 2nd floor level to the left (the junction with No.62). Each has the doorway to the left, with a moulded architrave and floating cornice, and a rectangular overlight, those at Nos 66 and 68 with geometrical glazing bars; and renewed 12-pane sashed windows diminishing in height from floor to floor, all with raised sills and plain surrounds. Roof hipped at right-hand end, with 2 large lateral chimney stacks. The 2-window right-hand return wall has tripartite windows on all floors of the 2nd bay; and beyond that, a short projecting 2-storey one-window rear wing (linked to Nos 2 (not included) and 4 Bankhouse Street, qv). INTERIORS not inspected. Forms group with Nos 58-62 adjoining to the left.
