Early C19. 3 storey. Bath stone on projecting piinth. Moulded string at 1st floor cill level. Panelled string at 2nd floor cill level. Plain frieze, moulded cornice and parapet with balustraded panels over windows. Hipped slate roof. 3 square windows with ‘eared’ architrave on 2nd floor. 3 windows on 1st floor with architraves, the outer windows with carved scroll brackets and cornice, the centre similar with pediment. 2 tall similar windows on ground floor and central 3-panel door, arched leaded fanlight with painted glass and 2 small side lights divided by pilasters and doorcase of Doric pilasters and entablature. The outer windows are in slight projections whole height of building. The house is set back from road, and in front of contemporary mill building of brick with stone dressings and hipped slate roof. All windows glazing bar sashes with panelled shutters. 2 window return to south east: brick with stone quoins and dressings, cill band and brackets below windows; stone parapet. Central blind arched recess to 1st floor. Wide central ground floor window with raised surround, outer edge moulded. 2 storey 3 window extension to rear. Interior: good stone staircase with oval top light and cast iron balusters linked alternately with anthemion patterns. The hall has panelled pilasters to doorcases with plain fluted brackets to cornices and a segmental arch to stairwell. Ceiling moulding of mullions alternating with pendant flowers. Stone flagged floor with black corner stones.

Nos 3 to 6 (consec) and Gate Piers and Street Wall to No 3 form a group No 6 being of local interest.
