Former inn, now divided into 5 living units. Early C19. White brick and slate roof with a wide plain eaves soffit. 2 internal chimney-stacks with high plain rectangular shafts. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and cellars. 8 window range: to the 1st storey, 12-pane sashes in plan reveals with stucco flat arches and projecting stone sills. The ground storey has a shop window on the left without glazing-bars, and on the right, 6-pane sashes with vertical glazing-bars only. The original doorway, with segmental-arched stucco head and keystone, has a C20 door. The former wide entrance to the yard, with elliptical stucco arch and keystone, has been infilled with brickwork and a C20 door and window. Above the original door and the 2 adjoining windows is a blank panel which carried the inn name. Above it, a projecting wrought-iron support with scrolled decoration which held the inn sign. INTERIOR: not inspected.
